Introduction of Mini Chaff Cutter
Mini chaff cutter, also called silage/forage chopper, as its name says, is a small size fodder cutting machine used in small scale farms to chop dry or wet grass, corn/wheat/cotton/soybean stalk into small pieces to feed the cow, horse, pig, rabbit, sheep, and chicken. Its production capacity is 400-1200kg per hour.
Small scale chaff cutter can be classified into 3 models: 9ZP-0.4, 9ZP-0.4A, 9ZP-0.4B, according to tiny moderation in its functions. 9ZP-0.4A chaff cutter adopts four blades, 9ZP-0.4B six blades as the cutting device. operators don’t need to change belt pulley. The structure of the small silage/forage chopper is compact and reasonable. The whole frame adopts the 2.7mm thickened steel plate, blades made of manganese steel, which makes the cutting effect better.
Mini silage chopper is equipped with gear level, the function of which is to change the length of the fodder by the way of adjusting it instantly. Its production capacity depends on the feed raw material & its moisture content:
Features of 9ZP-0.4 Mini Chaff Cutter

Notice of Gear Shifting
- ◆ When the chaff cutter is working, don’t change the gear.
◆ Turn off the power before gear shifting.
◆ Change the gear only when the machine is completely stopped and stabilized.
◆ Push the shift lever to change the gear. If the two gears are misplaced, just turn the belt slightly.
◆ Don’t hit the handle during gear shifting.
◆ When the machine stops unstable, don’t change the gear level.
Basic principles of Safe Hay Chopper Operation
- ▽ Check whether the lubrication area has any oil before starting the machine. Before working, the gear and the oil hole in the bearing room should be dripped into a small amount of oil, usually adding oil in 2-3 hours.
▽ Read the instructions carefully before starting the machine.
▽ The operator should be standing on the side of the feeding port. During the operation of the machine, the hand is not allowed to reach into the feeding port. If the machine is unstable, don’t open the cover. No power on if the cover is not covered or the hopper is not loaded.
▽ Strictly prohibits the machine excess load work. When the feed inlet is plugged, turn off the machine immediately. Don’t feed the raw materials forcibly by hand. Operators should feed evenly.
▽ Select the right mating power according to the instructions. It’s forbidden to improve the spindle speed and remove the protection device without permission.
▽ Juveniles and old people can’t start this machine. Staff can’t operate the machine when drunk or overtired.
